The bake shop began as Pure Cakery, a home-based business focused on custom cakes for celebrations ranging from baby showers to weddings. Over the years, we have had the privilege of creating beautifully arranged custom floral cakes that have become a staple in the Houston metro area. Recently, owner and pastry chef Mario has decided to take his passion for baking to the next level. Preemo’s Bakeshop was created with the desire to infuse Mario’s love of Mexican culture into new pastries, while preserving the authenticity of many great pan dulces. “Primos” is a Spanish term of endearment that represents family, friendship, and community. Whether you’re a cousin, a friend, or someone new, you belong here. Preemo’s pan dulces and pastries are our way of bringing people together. Each month, our pop-ups incorporate a variety of tasty treats in coffee shops and markets throughout the city.
